Pour a.ka. Tuang

July 28, 2005
This is the second time i’m waking up today… no it’s not anythin like Tru Calling… the first was at 8.30a.m. because my freakin’ car alarm went off due to some faulty wiring or sensor perhaps… happened at 3a.m. too… luckily i was awake then… so anyway i decided to go to the mechanic and guess what?… it wasn’t open when i got there at nine… so i decided to have breakfast at the mamak’s across the road… damn i waited for an hour and a half… and still it wasn’t open… so that’s one hell of a late-riser foreman… he’s pretty good tho’… well i was tired of waitin’ so i went home to catch up with my sleep and skip the class at 11… got 2 hrs of precious sleep… and my housemate sms-ed me offerin’ to buy lunch back… nice fella’ eh…

Been downlaodin’ loads of music… trance, rock and metal mainly… have been fallin’ asleep to trance almost every time i go to bed nowadays… uplifting trance is my personal fave… really cool stuff to unwind to after my daily routine of jamming with fellow metalheads who switch on their distortion to 10 on every song…

So over the past week nothin’ much has transpired… save for the usual boring classes…interestin’ jam sessions… a Christian gathering… a course gathering… that’s about all… one more gatherin’ comin’ up this Fri for Ipoh ppl here… ;)
This must be my longest post in a while cos all i’ve been doin’ recently was just postin’ pix of same old me playin’ same old Ibanez…

No Surprise… I’m Bloggin’ Bout Studios Again…

July 18, 2005

Saturday was THE WORST jammin' probably… we totally screwed it up during the hour and a half of recording… after a broken guitar string and some problems with tuning and amplifiers… we lost the vibe… was too disappointed that day to actually blog about it that day…
But TODAY we outdid ourselves… and that's why everyone in the band includin' me is on such a high… we rocked for an hour straight with plenty of energy and charisma… everythin' just went right today… a total opposite, i must say, of Saturday's really bad session…
So we've got a new drummer who's tight, fast and accurate… but we're still searching for a suitable vocalist… as of now… we can't seem to find one… is there anyone out there interested (and talented)?
I can still hear the tapped riffs, heavy chops, bass slaps and crashing cymbals…

Third Day

July 14, 2005

It's a name for a band… but no i'm not referrin' to them…
Well… classes have started… i've got a foreign lecturer…for the first time in three plus years… and the teachings of all the subs are in english… hmmm… i hope the transition of the medium of instruction works well… and that the lecturers are able to explain proficiently whatever they're supposed to teach…
I think we've just recruited two new band members today… a drummer and a full-time vocalist… well… the band is always changin' its lineup due to various circumstances… it was a rather good jammin' session… better than the one on monday… i think there will be much more to come in the next few weeks… my friends seem to be very enthusiastic… my korg sounded GREAT on the marshall stack… wow… very loud and crisp… i'm lovin' it!
Hmmm… guess that's about all for now…

Blasts of Terror

July 7, 2005

Seven bomb blasts in London's subway and double-decker buses… are the terrorists back in action again?… just when the Brits were celebrating their appointment as hosts of the 2012 Olympics… the explosions blew everyone into fear, anger and confusion…

Witnessed kind of a huge bar brawl last night at Y2K… was walking with some friends from Nasmir to the car when we noticed a huge crowd gathering by the roadside… guys with bleeding heads and etc… no cops or docs were there yet… and those involved in the fight apparently still had 'reinforcements' arriving to back them up… the two parties were still arguing and chasing and battling against each other… the 'best' part was… my friend's car was parked right in the middle of the commotion… but luckily… they soon ran off somewhere else… to exchange punches in a less public place? hehe…
Leavin' on Saturday after a rather long holiday… one day left… to chill out with some friends… and it's time to start the long journey back…
Let's pray for peace…
